MACO Management has been very successful in the business of building, acquiring, maintaining and the general management of what has proven to be a substantial number of commercial investment real estate holdings over the past thirty years. In resent years MACO Management has transferred a sizable amount of it's real estate holdings into it's wholly owned subsidiary, Investments Reality, L.L.C. This move is being made for several reasons, however, the primary and most important of which is in order to maintain tight controls on the financial performance of each of the individual properties and to allow losses derived from non cash expenses to pass through to the ownership; thus allowing ownership to minimize their respective tax burdens.
MACO Management's / Investment Realty's real estate holdings include various properties. The largest single type of property within the portfolio by far is United Sates Post Office Buildings. These facilities have either been developed and constructed by MACO or were acquired as investment holdings. The other types of investment real estate holdings currently in the investment inventory of MACO Management include, but is not limited to both Federal and State Government as well as Privately occupied office buildings, Truck Terminal Facilities, and Strip Centers. The real estate holdings of the company total in excess of 170 properties located in 26 States in the Midwest and Eastern United States.
